Billing System Optimization
Improved billing logic for WhatsApp Business Account changes
To provide a more stable and accurate billing experience, we’ve enhanced the billing logic for WhatsApp Business Account.
Previously, a single WhatsApp Business Account ID could be linked to multiple phone numbers. When removing just one number, system limitations required deleting the entire Account ID and reconnecting it. This could result in duplicate charges within the same billing cycle.
What’s new: When an Account ID is deleted and reconnected, the system will no longer generate a bill immediately. Instead, message usage and charges during this period will be fully recorded and consolidated into the regular monthly invoice.
Benefits:
Prevents duplicate charges caused by account reconnections
Ensures clearer and more accurate billing details
Two Updates to Broadcast Reports
To provide more accurate insights for broadcast campaign performance, we’ve made the following updates:
1. Data Update Frequency
Key metrics such as open rate, read rate, click-through rate, and response rate are now updated hourly 🚀Only data within 30 days after each broadcast will be included.
2. Broadcast Audience Retention Period
The audience list for each broadcast (Path: Broadcast > Broadcast Details > List) will now be retained for 730 days (2 years). An expiration date will also be displayed for each list.
💡 If you need to keep records of your broadcast audience list , please make sure to export them before they expire.
Webchat Plugin: Improved Closing-Hours Messaging Experience
Assume your opening hours are 09:00–18:00. Previously, if a customer opened the chat plugin during opening hours (e.g., 17:55) and remained on the page after closing time (e.g., 18:05), the following issues could occur:
Customers could still send messages even though support was offline
If the message triggered a keyword auto-reply, the system would not send an “Store closing hour display message ”.
This could lead to confusion, as customers were unaware that support was no longer available 😵
What’s improved: To ensure customers receive clear guidance during closing-hours:
If a customer attempts to send a message outside business hours.
The message will be treated as failed
The plugin will automatically return to the home page
The closing status will be displayed to clearly indicate that real-time support is unavailable
Conversation Search Performance Improvement
We’ve enhanced the performance of message content search to deliver faster and smoother results.
What’s updated:
Removed the “N matched messages” count from search results to improve speed
Replaced the field with the last message of the conversation (excluding bot messages)
