# Opencart | Omnichat Installation

How to install Omnichat on Opencart?

## Step 1

[login](https://app.omnichat.ai/) to the Omnichat admin page

## Step 2

Go Channels > [Install Webchat Plugin](https://console.omnichat.ai/install-legacy) page

1\. Enter the website address where Omnichat will be installed\
2\. Choose the Omnichat theme colour\
3\. Select the Omnichat Language\
4\. Copy the Omnichat installation code

## Step 3

Use **FTP user** or **Cpanel File manager** to log in to your **OpenCart** server. (Lots of Web hosting companies will provide the File Manager of Cpanel)

## Step 4

Go to **OpenCart's** **ROOT directory** (usually "WWW" or "Public\_html")

## Step 5

Go to catalog > view > theme folder.

## Step 6

Open your theme folder which you are using and find the "default" theme (You can find your theme on your OpenCart admin area, **System > Settings > Store**)

## Step 7

Go to **template > common folder**.

## Step 8

Open **footer.tpl / footer.twig** file and use Notepad's editor to edit and paste the Omnichat installation code in front of `</body>` tag

## Step 9

Click "**Save as**" and rename the file to **footer.tpl / footer.twig** (must include **.tpl / .twig**)

## Step 10

Use the new **footer.tpl / footer.twig** file and save on your PC

## Step 11

Use the **new footer.tpl / footer.twig** file to replace the existing footer.tpl / footer.twig file

## Step 12
