# Google Tag Manager | Omnichat Installation

How to install Omnichat on Google Tag Manager?

## Step 1

[login](https://app.omnichat.ai/) to the Omnichat admin page

## **Step 2**

Go Channels > Webchat > [Install Webchat Plugin](https://console.omnichat.ai/install-legacy) page

1\. Enter the website address where Omnichat will be installed\
2\. Choose the Omnichat theme colour\
3\. Select the Omnichat Language\
4\. Copy the Omnichat installation code

## **Step 3**

Log in to your Google Tag Manager account [https://tagmanager.google.com](https://tagmanager.google.com/)

**Please note:** If you are installing the conversation plugin on a **self-built website**, or if Google Tag Manager (GTM) has not been previously installed on your site, please first refer to [Google’s official documentation](https://support.google.com/tagmanager/answer/14842164?hl=en\&sjid=10169247888733448974-NC) to install the GTM container on your website.

## Step 4

Adding a new account and set your Account Name and Container name, also choose **"Web"** under "Where to Use Container"

## Step 5

Click **"New Tag"**

## Step 6

Enter the tag name and press the Pencil in the upper right corner

## Step 7

Choose Custom HTML

## Step 8

Copy Omnichat Javascript code and paste to HTML Textbox

Then in the “Triggering” block below, click "Edit"

## Step 9

Press trigger and choose "**All Pages**"

Click "Save".

## Step 10

Click "Submit".

Submit the new version and add "Version Name", "Version Description", then press "**PUBLISH**"
