# Configuring Question Identifiers

SurveyCake's Pro plan offers a powerful feature called "question identifiers." These act like labels for specific questions within your survey, enabling seamless data integration with external tools like chatbots or marketing platforms.

## **Integrating SurveyCake with Omnichat**

To streamline your SurveyCake and Omnichat integration, you'll need to set up two key question identifiers:

* **channel\_name**
  * **Default Value :** If you know the primary channel most users access from, you can set a pre-defined value (e.g., "line").
  * **Dynamic Value:** For more accurate data, use {{system:channel\_name}}. This allows Omnichat to automatically pass the channel name to SurveyCake for each response.

{% hint style="warning" %}
**Important Note:** Setting a default value applies to **all cases**, which means that all responses will show the default value you set, regardless of the actual value.
{% endhint %}

* **channel\_user\_id**
  * Fill in {{system:user\_id}} as the default value for "channel\_user\_id." This allows Omnichat to dynamically pass the user ID to SurveyCake for each survey response.

{% hint style="info" %}
For WhatsApp, it's recommended to use `{{system:phone}}` as the channel identifier since WhatsApp user IDs are phone numbers.
{% endhint %}
