How to integrate LINE official account 2.0 to Omnichat?

### Creating a LINE Official Account

1. Visit LINE Official Account page: <https://www.linebiz.com/jp-en/other/>
2. To switch languages, click the globe icon in the upper right corner of the page.
3. Click the orange-red button, "Create a LINE Official Account for Free".

4. You can choose to log in with your personal LINE account, your LINE Business account, or create a new account if you don't have either of the above.

5. After logging in, fill in the LINE Official Account information, review the LINE Official Account Terms of Service, and then click "Continue".

6. Confirm all the information you've filled in, and click "Submit".

   You can choose to verify your account now or later, but we recommend verifying it first.

   To get started, open LINE OA Manager,

click "Settings" in the top right corner,

then go to "Account settings" > "Display settings" and click the "Verify this account" button to begin the verification process.

LINE defines three types of accounts, as detailed [here](https://www.linebiz.com/jp-en/service/line-official-account/account-type/).

* **Unverified accounts (with a grey badge)** will not show up in LINE's in-app search results, and the friends list cannot be synced with Omnichat console.
* On the other hand, **Verified accounts (with a blue badge)** and **Premium accounts (with a green badge)** can be found in the search results, and the friends list can be synced with Omnichat console.

### Integrating LINE Official Account with Omnichat

### Preparation Step: Log in to [LINE Official Account Manager](https://manager.line.biz/)

* After logging in, select the LINE Official Account you want to integrate with Omnichat.

* You can then access LINE Official Account Manager.

### Step 1: Enable Messaging API

Click "Settings" in the upper right corner.

In the left menu, click "Messaging API", then click "Enable Messaging API."

### Step 2: Select Provider

After clicking "Enable Messaging API," you will need to select an existing provider or create a new one.

Please **do not** name the provider "Omnichat". We suggest using your company name instead.

Review the "Messaging API Terms and Conditions of Service", and click "Agree".

Enter the Privacy Policy and Terms of Use if applicable. If you don't have them, leave the fields empty and click "OK".

Confirm the "Account Name" and "Provider Name", then click "OK" to officially activate Messaging API.

After clicking "OK", you will see the screen below, and the status will be "Enabled".

* Each LINE Official Account can have only one Messaging API and provider, and it cannot be recreated or replaced with a new one.
* Once a LINE Official Account is linked to a Messaging API and provider, it cannot be removed or modified.
* The person who enables the Messaging API will become the permanent administrator of the Messaging API channel, so we strongly recommend having the brand founder or manager create the Messaging API channel to prevent losing access or authentication in the future.
* If you're concerned about having only one account with access, you can grant permissions by authorizing other accounts via email (learn how from [here](/en/features/tong-xun-qu-dao/integrations/line-2.0/line-developers-common-questions.md#q-how-to-share-the-permission-of-messaging-api-channel)).

### Step 3: Gather Required Information for LINE Integration

To integrate LINE, you will need the following five pieces of information. You can find the first four from Step 2 on the Messaging API page.

* [x] Channel (App) Name
* [x] LINE Official Account ID
* [x] Channel ID
* [x] Channel secret
* [ ] Channel Access Token (long-lived)

For the last piece of information, "Channel Access Token (long-lived)", click "LINE Developers Console" on the Messaging API page and log in to LINE Developers.

After logging in, you'll see the provider listed in the left column or at the bottom of the page.

Select the provider linked to your LINE Official Account (e.g., "Stephanie Provider"), then click the Messaging API channel you created in Step 2 (e.g., "Omnichat Store").

Once inside the Messaging API channel, go to the second tab, "Messaging API," and scroll down the page. Click the "Issue" button below "Channel Access Token (long-lived)" to get the last piece of information.

Besides the Messaging API page, you can also find your "Channel ID", "Channel Secret" (by scrolling down the page), and "Channel (App) Name" under the first tab, "Basic Settings."

### Step 4: Fill in Collected Information in Omnichat Console

Log in to [Omnichat console](https://console.omnichat.ai/), go to Channels > Social Channels, select [LINE](https://console.omnichat.ai/social-channels-integration?tab=line-official), and click "Connect LINE Official Account."

Fill in the five pieces of information collected in Step 3, then click "Connect".

### Step 5: Copy Webhook URL to LINE Developers

After clicking "Connect," a message window with a webhook URL will pop up. Click the "Copy Link" button to save it for later use.

Or you can copy the webhook URL by clicking the "Action" button in the connected account list.

Next, return to LINE Developers and go to the second tab, "Messaging API".

Find "Webhook" and click "Edit" to paste the webhook URL.

Click "Update" after pasting the webhook URL.

Then click "Verify". Once the success message shows up, click OK.

Turn on the "Use webhook" toggle to complete the step.

If you have trouble enabling the "Use Webhook" toggle in LINE Developers, you can also enable it in LINE Official Account Manager:

Click "Settings" in the upper right corner of LINE Official Account Manager, then find "[Response Settings](https://manager.line.biz/account/@046fbfip/setting/response)" in the left column, and turn on the toggle.

### Step 6: Adjust Response Settings in [LINE OA Manager](#set-reply-preferences-in-line-oa-manager) & [LINE Developers](#prevent-duplicate-responses-in-line-developers)

#### Set Reply Preferences in LINE OA Manager

Decide where you want to reply, Omnichat Console, LINE OA Manager, or both:

* To reply only in Omnichat Console and not in LINE OA Manager:
  * In LINE OA Manager, click "Settings" in the upper right corner.
  * In the menu on the left, select "Response settings".
  * Turn off the "Chat" toggle.
  * Enable "Webhooks".

* To reply in both Omnichat Console and LINE OA Manager:
  * Enable both "Chat" and "Webhooks".
  * Turn off "Greeting message" to prevent duplicate welcome messages from LINE OA and Omnichat.
  * Turn off "Response hours" to avoid overlapping offline messages.
  * Set Response Method to "Manual chat" to prevent bot responses and keyword auto-replies from both systems.

#### Prevent Duplicate Responses in LINE Developers

To avoid triggering the same messages from both platforms, follow these steps in LINE Developers:

1. Go to the "Messaging API" tab

3. Turn off:

* "Allow bot to join group chats"
* "Auto-reply messages"
* "Greeting Messages" (if you’ve already set one in Omnichat)

#### 2. What should I do if this message window shows up?

This pop-up message means your LINE Official Account is already integrated with another team.

Please return to the existing Omnichat account to disconnect the LINE integration, then go back to the new account to complete the integration.

#### 3. How to cancel LINE integration?

Click the "Disconnect" button on the right, then select "Yes" to confirm.
