# Connecting Omnichat with WeChat Messenger

If you plan to integrate with WeChat, please confirm that your WeChat account has passed the Annual Verification before proceeding with the integration.

**Please note the limitations around the WeChat integration**

* User's identity (e.g: name) is not able to be pulled into Omnichat
* Omnichat chatbots are not able to be used on WeChat. You can use autoreply as a workaround
* Broadcast is not able to be done via Omnichat. You able to broadcast directly via WeChat.

### Preparation Steps

If you need to send messages via WeChat, please ensure that the Annual Verification process has been completed. For detailed steps, please refer to the information below.

If you have completed the preparation Steps, you may proceed with the integration process below.

### Step 1

Login to Weixin Official Accounts Platform (<https://mp.weixin.qq.com/?lang=en_US>) on your computer browser

### Step 2

Open WeChat App on your mobile, click the `+` button and choose `Scan`

### Step 3

1. Scan the QR code shown in Step 1 Screen and choose your account

2. Then your computer browser will automatically login Weixin Official Accounts Platform

3. Afterward, select `Settings and Development` in the left menu, then choose `Basic Configuration`.

4. After entering the `Basic Configuration` page, please copy the `AppID` and `AppSecret` to provide to Omnichat staff

### Step 4

1. Your server configuration may not be activated yet. Please adjust it to `Enable` first, and then click on `Change Configuration`

2. In the server configuration, you will need to fill in three pieces of information: `URL`, `Token`, and `EncodingAESKey`. (You can obtain these three pieces of information from Omnichat staff.)
3. Then choose `Plaintext mode`.

### Step 5

After clicking `Submit` the integration process is complete.
