# Tags
Tag Management gives you a clear overview of all tagging activities. The following sections introduce how to view tagging statistics, filter by time range, and export detailed tagging logs.

## Overview Page
1. Search tag name: Find a specific existing tag.
2. More: Filter tags by time range, daily tagging count, and delete tags by batches.
3. Create new tag: Add a new tag.
4. Select specific tags.
5. Validity Period: Permanent or Time-limited. See below for more details about this setting.
6. Last tagged time: The time of the last tag application.
7. Number of tagged customers: The total number of unique users who have been tagged.
8. Action: Delete created tags.

**More About Setting Validity Period**
When creating a new tag, you can set the validity period as either:
* **Permanent:** The tag will remain on the contact until manually removed.
* **Time-limited**: The tag will be automatically removed once it expires. All instances of the same tag (even if applied multiple times) will be removed upon expiry.
* CDP plans: Max time limit is 365 days.
* Non-CDP plans: Max time limit is 90 days.
* If a tag is reapplied to the same contact, the expiration date resets.
* Example: Tag "Tag\_A" is set to expire in **30 days**
* **May 20** – Mr. Lee is tagged with "Tag\_A".
* Scheduled for deletion on June 19 at 11:59 PM (UTC+8).
* **June 1** – Mr. Lee is tagged with "Tag\_A" again.
* New deletion date: July 1 at 11:59 PM (UTC+8).
* **June 28** – Mr. Lee is tagged again.
* New deletion date: July 28 at 11:59 PM (UTC+8).
* **July 28 at 11:59 PM (UTC+8)** – "Tag\_A" and all 3 tagging records are deleted.
* **Editing Tag Expiry**
* Switching from Permanent to Time-limited
* Requires re-tagging to activate the countdown.
* Shortening the time limit
* If a tag's last application time has already exceeded the new time limit (as of daily check at UTC+8 23:59), the system will delete it from the contact.
* **Limitations**
* Time-limited tags are not supported for website visitors.
* Visitors are defined as users with no social profile, member ID, phone number, or email in Webchat.

When creating a new tag, you can set the validity period as either "Permanent" or "Time-limited".
## Category Management
* **Access:** \
Go to More > Category Management.
* **Display Order:** \
Once you enter the page, all category names will be displayed and sorted by creation time, from newest to oldest.
* **Create Category:** \
You can add a new category using the Create Category button located in the top right corner.
* **Action:** \
You can edit the category name or delete the category entirely.
If a category is deleted, all tags previously assigned to that category will automatically be moved to "Uncategorized".
## Viewing Tagging Statistics
By clicking "More" on the overview page, you can filter by time range to view tag statistics and check the daily tagging count.
### **Search & Filter By Time Range**
1. Enter the tags you want to search for and click the green tick button.
2. Adjust the date range for the report you want to view, and click "OK".
Done! You can view the statistics report for your searched tags.
### Export Reports
#### **Statistics of Tagging**
You can export tag names, number of tagged customers, and number of tagging times.
#### **Every log of Tagging**
You can export each log of tagging, including tagging time, channel, channel ID, user ID, tag, and tagging source.
### Daily Tagging Count
1. Enter up to 10 tags you want to search for, then click the green check button.
2. Adjust the date range for the report you want to view, and click "OK".
Done! You can view the statistics report for your searched tags.
