The m.me link allows customers to open a Facebook fan page message and trigger a specific chatbot block. This link can also be used in external sources, such as emails, websites, and offline events, to direct customers to Facebook Messenger.

  1. Go to the backend of your Facebook fan page.

  2. According to Facebook’s official documentation, you can generate an m.me link using the following format: http://m.me/PAGE-NAME In this format, "PAGE-NAME" is the part of the link that comes after your Facebook fan page’s address.

E.g., Since this fan page’s PAGE-NAME is "AmyStoreforOC", the m.me link is: http://m.me/AmyStoreforOC

  1. You can also find your PAGE-NAME from this page: https://www.facebook.com/settings/?tab=pages. Click on "Name", and you'll see it in the "Username" column.

Find Your PAGE-NAME from Setting Page

Step 2: Copy the Targeted Chatbot Block ID

You may refer to here (search for the keyword "Copy Block ID") to learn how to find a block ID.

To create a functional link, use the following format:

m.me link + ?ref= + Block ID

E.g.,

  • My m.me link=http://m.me/AmyStoreforOC

  • Targeted Block ID=bd9f68ec-9fb1-4190-b1c2-c7c15701b9cf

so the complete link is http://m.me/AmyStoreforOC?ref=bd9f68ec-9fb1-4190-b1c2-c7c15701b9cf

You can share this m.me link in:

  • Emails / EDM campaigns

  • External websites

  • Offline events and printed materials
