   * Now, select the unique ID for your contacts, then click "Template" to download your CSV template.

   * The CSV template you download from the platform will typically consist of two main parts:
     * **Unique Identifier Column:** This column is essential and will contain the IDs of the chosen unique identifier of your contacts who will receive the broadcast message, be it their phone number, member ID, or email.
       * If you select "Phone" as the unique identifier, ensure these numbers adhere to the E.164 international formatting standard (e.g., country code followed by subscriber number). You don't need to include the leading "+" sign.

{% hint style="info" %}
If a contact has multiple phone numbers to send, please separate them with a half-width comma “, ”. Using any other symbol (for example, a semicolon) will cause a file data format error and make the file unusable.
{% endhint %}

* **Variable Columns (Optional):** If the message template you select for your broadcast contains variables (placeholders for dynamic content), additional columns will be included in the CSV template. These columns will correspond to the specific variables used in your template.
* **Number of Variable Columns:** The number of additional columns will match the exact number of variables defined within your chosen message template.
* **Filling Out Your CSV Template:**
  * Once you have downloaded the CSV template, you can populate it with your contact information:
  * **Phone Numbers:** Fill in the phone number column with the valid phone numbers of your intended recipients.
  * **Variable Data (Optional):** If your message template uses variables, fill in the corresponding columns with the data you want to personalize for each contact. This might include information like names, birth dates, or location.

### **How to Set Up Name Parameters in CSV Broadcasts**

If your WhatsApp template includes a **name parameter** and you would like to automatically insert the customer’s name when sending messages via CSV broadcast, this can be achieved with the following setup.

**Example Template Format:**\
(Assume your template includes a parameter like **{{1}}** for the customer’s name)

<figure><img src="https://2848678129-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F3u2I1osIy6mEi07X1z46%2Fuploads%2FVdHNsOpNep79Aoo1SX0X%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=c554d6b6-d300-4775-b678-9625a6c58de8" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

**Steps to Configure Your CSV File:**

1. Add a new column header for the parameter (e.g., **{{1}}**)
2. In the corresponding rows, input the value **{{system:customer\_name}}**

With this setup, the system will automatically populate the customer’s name when the message is sent via CSV broadcast.

### CSV File Upload Success Preview

Please Note: The displayed "Estimated Broadcast Audience Counts"represents the actual, deliverable recipient count ONLY when "<mark style="color:blue;">Social ID</mark>" is selected as the upload criterion.

#### Broadcast Setup Stage:

Currently, the system supports cross-referencing and matching CSV data with channel contact records prior to the broadcast ONLY under the "Social ID" criterion.

* "Social Media ID" Definitions: UID for LINE, PSID for Facebook, IGSID for Instagram, and Phone Number for WhatsApp.

If the upload criteria are non-Social IDs (such as "Member ID, Email, or Phone Number"), the system cannot cross-reference the CSV with channel contact records in advance. Consequently, the "Estimated Broadcast Auditing Count" will simply display the total row count of the uploaded CSV file, which does not reflect the actual number of deliverable users.

<figure><img src="https://2848678129-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F3u2I1osIy6mEi07X1z46%2Fuploads%2FZIJNlmxRu8mY8wtEtwHo%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=6e3ce253-08bf-47b2-a6e1-c98827a88c8d" alt="" width="563"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

#### Post-Broadcast Stage:

For campaigns using "Member ID, Email, or Phone Number" as upload criteria, the system will filter out and remove unmatched contacts from the recipient list ONLY AFTER the broadcast has officially been executed.
