# Facebook Messenger

## Setting up your broadcast by CSV with Facebook Messenger:

1. After filling in the subject field, select the corresponding Message Tag for your broadcast:

2. Configure your message delivery time. If you would like to schedule your broadcast time, remember to schedule it for a time that best suits your target audience.
3. Select the unique identifier you will use to identify your contacts in the CSV file. This can be a social ID, member ID, email address, or a phone number.

{% hint style="info" %}
If a contact has multiple phone numbers to send, please separate them with a half-width comma “, ”. Using any other symbol (for example, a semicolon) will cause a file data format error and make the file unusable.
{% endhint %}

* Download the CSV template according to your chosen unique identifier. This template ensures your data is formatted correctly for the platform.

1. Fill the downloaded CSV with the chosen identifiers for your contacts (social IDs, member IDs, emails, phone numbers ). Ensure they follow Facebook Messenger's formatting requirements (e.g., E.164 for phone numbers).
2. Once complete, upload the populated CSV file back into the designated field.
3. Design your message content in two ways:
   * **Custom Message:** Type your message directly within the platform.
   * **Chatbot Block:** Select a pre-built chatbot block to incorporate into your message for a structured layout.
4. Before sending your broadcast to your entire audience, consider sending a test message to yourself or a designated test contact. This allows you to see how the message appears from a recipient's perspective and make any necessary adjustments.
5. When you are confident with your message content and targeting, click the "Broadcast" button.

   These are two scenarios depending on how you have scheduled your broadcast earlier:

   * **Immediate Broadcast:** If you have not scheduled a delivery time, clicking "Broadcast" will send your message immediately to your target audience.
   * **Scheduled Broadcast:** If you have configured a future delivery time, clicking "Broadcast" will queue the message to be sent at the designated time.

### CSV File Upload Success Preview

Please Note: The displayed "Estimated Broadcast Audience Counts"represents the actual, deliverable recipient count ONLY when "<mark style="color:blue;">Social ID</mark>" is selected as the upload criterion.

#### Broadcast Setup Stage:

Currently, the system supports cross-referencing and matching CSV data with channel contact records prior to the broadcast ONLY under the "Social ID" criterion.

* "Social Media ID" Definitions: UID for LINE, PSID for Facebook, IGSID for Instagram, and Phone Number for WhatsApp.

If the upload criteria are non-Social IDs (such as "Member ID, Email, or Phone Number"), the system cannot cross-reference the CSV with channel contact records in advance. Consequently, the "Estimated Broadcast Auditing Count" will simply display the total row count of the uploaded CSV file, which does not reflect the actual number of deliverable users.

#### Post-Broadcast Stage:

For campaigns using "Member ID, Email, or Phone Number" as upload criteria, the system will filter out and remove unmatched contacts from the recipient list ONLY AFTER the broadcast has officially been executed.
