## Get Onboard with Marketing Messages Lite API

**A better way to broadcast marketing messages on WhatsApp**

Meta has launched the **Marketing Messages Lite API (MM Lite API)**—a new, optimized solution for sending **marketing messages on WhatsApp**.

Omnichat is fully adopting this upgrade, and **all clients must complete onboarding by July 30, 2025, to continue using WhatsApp Marketing Templates**.

#### Why MM Lite matters:

* **Higher delivery, read, and click performance**
* **No disruption** to your existing marketing flow
* **Required** to continue sending WhatsApp marketing template messages after July 30 for Omnichat users

### What is Marketing Messages Lite API?

The **MM Lite API** is Meta’s new outbound API for marketing messages—designed to deliver campaigns faster and more effectively.

#### ✅ Key Benefits:

* **Improved Delivery Rates**: Automatic optimizations may lead to higher delivery rates for high-quality marketing messages compared to Cloud API.
* **Enhanced Engagement Metrics**: Access to sent, delivered, read, and click metrics via Business Management API and WhatsApp Manager UI.
* **Conversion Tracking**: By integrating Meta Pixel or the Conversions API, you can track post-click user actions—like purchases—and measure ROI directly in your Meta dashboard.
* **Exclusive Features**: Access to some features like for marketing messages, not available in Cloud API.

Upgrading to MM Lite doesn’t require changes in your workflows.

* ✅ You can **reuse all existing marketing templates**
* ✅ The **broadcast process and automation flow** in Omnichat remain the same
* ✅ Omnichat **automatically routes** messages to MM Lite once it is enabled

### MM Lite API vs. Cloud API — What’s the Difference?

**We will keep using both MM Lite API and Cloud API.**\
All Marketing Template Messages will be sent via MM Lite API, while all other message types—Service, Utility, Authentication, and inbound replies—will continue to be sent through the Cloud API, just as before.

### How Do You Enable MM Lite API in Omnichat?

#### For **Existing Customers** (WABA already connected to Omnichat):

> On **June 25**, Omnichat will trigger Meta to send an authorization email to your account.

* **Who receives it?**

  All **Business Manager (BM) admins** linked to your WhatsApp Business Account (WABA)<br>

* ✅ **What to do?**

  Remind your BM admins to **check their inbox** and complete the **authorization process via the Meta email link**.

**Step by step process for activating MM Lite API:**

1. Click on the "Get Started" button inside Meta's email and land on Meta Business Manager Platform. Click "Review.

2. Click "Continue"

3. Click Finish

4. You will see a pop-up message on the bottom left side of the screen, letting you know that you have successfully accepted the onboarding request..

Once the approval process is completed, MM Lite will be activated and Omnichat will begin using it automatically for all marketing messages.

### Deadline: Enable MM Lite Before **July 30, 2025**

From **July 30**, sending WhatsApp marketing messages **requires MM Lite API**.

Omnichat clients who have not completed the onboarding **will be blocked** from sending WhatsApp Marketing Templates.
